Zuma Jay's is Malbu's oldest surf shop serving the area for over 30 years. We are a family oriented operation with a long history of community participation and service. We strive to find the highest quality products and to sell them at the most reasonable price, (below manufacturer's suggested retail).

Our inventory includes equipment necessary for "hardcore" surfing, bodyboarding, skim boarding, and kayaking. If we do not stock a product that you are looking for, we will make every effort to obtain it for you.

Midget Smith began shaping surfboards in 1969. During the '70's and '80's, he shaped for T&C, Dewey Weber, Ben Aipa, and Lightning Bolt. In 1995 Midget joined the Zuma Jay "family". Midget shapes personally by hand for Zuma Jay. Midget shapes 1,000 boards per year by hand. He never uses a "ghost shaper". Midget serves as head judge for the A.S.P. Longboard World Tour as well as the North America A.S.P. Shortboard Tour. In his spare time, Midget gets his share of waves near his San Clemente home with his daughter.
