W.G. Hamil LLC is a continuation of a 4th generation family owned and operated business. The beginning of the company as it is today, spans back to the 1930s where it started as J.W. Renfroe Pecan Company in Alabama. In 1980, the partnership established an office at the state farmers market in Thomasville, Georgia. From that point on, watermelons where incorporated into the mix to provide steady stream of operations. The company was run under the name of J.W. Renfroe until 2006 when Greg Hamil purchased the Thomasville business and renamed it W.G. Hamil LLC.

Today the company has flourished both domestically and internationally to encompass a greater need for quality products. Recently undergoing extensive renovations, the new facility can now sustain more than twice of its original capacity. The enhanced inshell pecan processing facility is better enabled to accommodate the increasing demand for international export. The highest quality watermelons are shipped to both wholesale and retail markets. Greg Hamil, along with his son Michael, are onsite at all shipping facilities to ensure quality control and timeliness.

The seasonal retail store is also a welcome addition in providing both shelled and inshelled pecans and novelty products.
