The idea for Upscale Mom and the Windel cabinet was born in 2012 when Sarah (Chandrasekar) Tamilarasan of Katy, Texas, had little Joshua enter her life. Sarah quickly found out working full time and being a mom is considerably more work than she had imagined (sound familiar?).

In particular, she found herself having to stop whatever she was doing when Josh needed a diaper change. She wished there was a diaper changing product that fit her lifestyle: compatible with d?cor, good at hiding clutter, and fits in anywhere in the home. That's when the idea for the Windel (German for diaper) was born!

Being a parent does not mean having to sacrifice self-expression and style. That belief helped Sarah conceptualize and designed Windel, an innovation that makes diaper-changing conveniently en vogue! The fun and exciting journey of product creation has resulted in Windels for Sarah's living room, kitchen and den - no more running around the house for a diaper change!
