Dr. Young is a re-careered administrator and university professor with 37 years of experience in higher education. Her professional career began as a secretary and she later became a statewide dean in the office of the chancellor for the Cal State University system. Her Natural ability to encourage and motivate individuals led her in 2003 to form her own company, Young Enterprises, and today, she is a well-known national/ international speaker and serves as a transformational coach and consultant to corporations, public and private entities, nonprofit organizations, academic institutions, community groups and churches.

During her main speaking tours throughout Africa, she saw many teens and young women who did not have a chance to be educated. They were impoverished, some with small children, with no hope of an education or a quality life. Feeling led to help teen girls and young women in her own city, her research revealed that 25 miles away from her home was a small community with the highest STDs and teen pregnancy rates in the state. Thus she established the Success4UFoundation as a nonprofit organization that would reach out to young teenage girls and young adult women in this community.
