Founded in 1971, Spectrum Chemicals & Laboratory Products, a division of Spectrum Chemical Mfg. Facilities

Spectrum has production, quality control laboratories, warehousing and distribution facilities in New Brunswick, NJ and Gardena, CA. All US production facilities are ISO 9001:2008 certified, FDA registered and operate under current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

Major Products / Markets

The Company's major emphasis is on USP, NF, FCC, BP, EP, JP and ACS grade products, active pharmaceutical ingredients and controlled substances, excipients, dietary supplements, cosmetic ingredients, biochemicals, pre-made solutions, and a complete line of high-purity solvents for critical analytical applications. These products are available in laboratory, scale-up and production quantities.

Also available from Spectrum are over 22,000 TCI organic chemicals for research and science. Spectrum and TCI America have partnered to provide the most comprehensive line of organics for R&D, biochemical, medicinal chemistry and general laboratory use. Over 35,000 unique chemicals are now available to customers from the combined product lines of TCI and Spectrum with hundreds of new products developed annually.

Spectrum also provides US-based custom synthesis and contract manufacturing capabilities, including the custom synthesis of new chemical entities (NCE's), commercial cGMP manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients, DEA Controlled Substances (Schedules II-V) and general synthetic chemical intermediates.

The Company is also a full-line distributor of laboratory supplies and equipment, featuring PerkinElmer's complete line of consumables for GC, HPLC, IR, UV/VIS, AA, ICP, mass spectrometry and thermal analysis instrumentation. In addition, labware, consumables, lab equipment and appliances are available from over 250 manufacturers including Thermo Fisher Scientific, Corning and Mettler Toledo. Spectrum is truly a one-stop shopping destination with over 150,000 chemicals and consumable items available.
