South State, Inc. is an accomplished and well known Heavy Highway, Paving, and Utilities contractor focusing primarily on the Central and Southern New Jersey market. For over 35 years, South State has successfully completed numerous construction contracts as both a general contractor, and subcontractor working directly for public agencies and private owners. Over the past five years, South State has expanded its operation into heavy highway and utility work, completing several significant bridge construction and demolition projects, as well as many utility projects. Our customers include the New Jersey Department of Transportation, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, the South Jersey Transportation Authority, PSE&G, South Jersey Industries, as well as much of the local counties and municipalities.

With three materials manufacturing facilities in South Jersey; one in Bridgeton, one in Williamstown, and one in Woodbine, all facilities are capable of manufacturing all of today's mixes of asphalt. The Bridgeton location is a certified Class B Recycling facility which also includes a sand mining operation and a concrete crushing operation (DGA manufacturing). Our high volume manufacturing operations and sophisticated quality control laboratories have helped to provide both our construction projects, and our outside customers with the some of the finest materials in the state for several decades.
