Smith Carpentry LLC. was founded in 2004 by Sylvester Smith as a residential home builder, in southeast Michigan, "downriver area". Partnering with Mary Smith in 2006, we have grown into a prosperous, commercial sized company, with many divisions, providing services from property preservation for Safeguard Properties, an affiliate of Fannie Mae; to a multi-family framing division, framing multifamily housing and apartment complexes across the South. Our property preservation division employees around 25 employees covering five counties in southeast Michigan. Our framing division who are currently working in Mississippi and Louisiana average in 30 to 60 employees depending on the size of the project we are currently executing at that time. We have executed several large projects such as Longfellow Towers, building commercial office space for Digital Engineering, a building engineering company for FEMA, in the southern states.

Despite the economic slowdown, Smith carpentry has been able to maintain over 80 Employees across seven states and is always looking for hard-working tradesman who are honest and looking for opportunity to grow with our company as well as subcontractors.
