Skyline Solar of AZ: A One-Stop Shop for Solar Support Structures

Skyline Solar of Arizona is a design-build construction firm of solar support structures, specializing in carport structures, covering parking lots and top of parking garages. Formed in 2009, Skyline Solar is a division of Skyline Steel, Inc. which was founded in 1983 as a commercial covered parking company in Arizona. In 1990, Skyline Steel diversified into Division 5 Miscellaneous and Structural Steel Fabrication and Erection.

Who We Serve

Skyline Solar values our project partners whom range from Solar Distributors and Integrators, Developers & Builders, General Contractors and EPC firms. We do not compete with our customers by offering PV modules or electrical balance of systems.

Estimating

Our in house project estimators bring a wealth of experience and knowledge formed by many years of analysis responding to all types of our customers design criteria. We approach every job in order to deliver the best results for structural functionality and cost effectiveness. We typically can turn around a complicated cost proposal within 48 hours.

Engineering

Our engineering and design team are registered and degreed professionals bringing to our qualifications an unprecedented combined experience of over 75 years, facilitating award winning structural designs. Experts in structural engineering, with emphasis on high tensile steel construction, our solar support structures are designed to survive the most demanding elements from marine environments, high winds, heavy snow loads and seismic conditions.

Construction

Many of our dedicated team of Construction Project Managers has been with Skyline Solar for over 15 years, bringing with them many prior years of diverse construction experience. Skyline Solar of AZ is licensed in 5 states as a general contractor, and have deployed our field crews from coast to coast and offshore. We focus on in house safety and best practice training of our crews. We have streamlined our construction approach because we perform most all work with our own employees and equipment serving to eliminate delays and quality issues from outsourcing to third parties.

Recognizing the increased value & efficiency which solar carport structures bring to a parking facility's owner, Skyline Steel used its expertise as a covered parking company to springboard into the solar industry in 2002. Eleven years later, Skyline Solar of AZ. is recognized as one of the larger solar contractors with a wide variety of products ranging from carport, canopy, ground mount and ballasted rooftop solutions. We sell our products and services to companies responsible for the installation and commissioning of solar power systems, typically solar integrators, developers and EPC firms.

Historically, Skyline Solar has installed over 70 Megawatts throughout the US and Hawaii with 23MW installed in 2012 and 18MW in 2013. Skyline Solar based in Gilbert, AZ. operates nationwide, building projects from coast to coast and offshore. We design and build anything from small solar carport systems to utility scale and large commercial projects. Components are built for assembly on site with the company's own employees, eliminating the potential delays and quality control issues that arise from outsourcing.
