Welcome to Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital. We are located along Lake Michigan’s northern shores in the city of Manistique.
We are a 25-bed critical access hospital offering health care in at least thirty specialties. SMH is proud of its growing general and orthopedic surgery programs. The Hospital’s emergency room is physician staffed 24-hours a day. SMH professional staff provide physical, speech, and occupational therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, and a wide range of diagnostic services including a full-service laboratory, x-ray, mammography, CT scans, MRI’s and nuclear medicine. SMH nurses and nurse aides provide Home Healthcare Hospice and private duty services. The Rural Health Clinic is staffed by family physicians and PA’s.
SMH takes seriously our leadership role in helping to keep our friends and neighbors healthy. SMH staff takes an active role in the Manistique community supporting activities that improve the quality of life for the people we serve.
