Who is RideRichmond?
RideRichmond is a 501(c)3 non-profit community organization focusing on charitable and educational programs through hosting events, activities, and rides in the Richmond area and surrounding communities.
What is RideRichmond?
RideRichmond provides two things to the community: A 501(c)3 non-profit composed of dedicated riders hosting events, activities, and rides in the greater Richmond area, and an internet forum for all users of the Richmond area to freely post and discuss news, activities and events. Whether it be a moped rally, or ride to Williamsburg, feel free to post it on there and inform your community.
We are also currently working on finding a home for a bicycle co-op in Richmond. If you know of space, or are interested in helping, please contact us.
What are the goals of RideRichmond?
The goals of RideRichmond are simple:
1. Facilitate and encourage inclusive free-flow discussion and brainstorming of news and activities in the area;
2. Educate and empower the community on alternative transportation usage;
3. Host events that promote the unification of individuals in the community.
What are the plans for 2012?
RideRichmond has a number of programs planned for 2012. The biggest event is Richmond’s 2nd Annual Bike Week. Other programs include Spring and Fall Bike Symposiums and Bike Swaps, as well as events such as Goldsprints, Biathlons, a Holiday Bike Drive, and publishing a free Richmond Cycling Guide. We are also hopeful to find a co-op space and home!
