Red Schoolhouse Records (RSH) is a full service record label, artist development company, and booking agency located in the Midwestern part of the United States. We’re in a little corner of Iowa right on the Mississippi River.

RSH records was founded by singer/songwriter Danika Holmes in 2010. While Danika spent countless hours networking within the industry, making contacts with venues, press, radio stations, bloggers and podcasters one thing she never did was reach out to any record labels in hopes of getting signed. “Something just didn’t feel quite right about the idea of trying to get signed,” Danika commented. “I didn’t like the idea of waiting around for someone else to determine my destiny”. Rather than waiting on fate, she decided to take matters into her own hands. Hence, RSH records was born. Danika set out to handpick a team of producers, writers, booking agents, musicians and media specialists’ as well as partnering with international music companies, independent radio stations and a local music school.

Why red schoolhouse? The greatest generation was raised in small one room schoolhouses. K though 12, it all took place right there under one roof. While these old one room schoolhouse were small, the quality of education that took place there was equal to or greater than the large mega schools we see today. So, we’re a small record label with a hard working team performing all the same functions as a larger conglomerate. We are Red Schoolhouse Records, small but mighty!
