PRC offers these services to be the most cost effective, efficient and we are always ready to respond to any environmental situations that can develop during demolition, and plant decommissioning projects. PRC has successfully performed environmental support on over 8000MW of decommissioned power plants nationwide, multiple refineries, paper mills, and other industrial facilities (See Projects Page). PRC's experienced environmental managers and safety personnel are professionals with hazardous materials handling and disposal. In addition, PRC's field personnel are trained in Hazardous Waste Operations, Emergency Response and are equipped with PRC operating procedures that are in place to assure a safe and compliant work area when hazardous materials are present.

Health Safety and Environment


PRC personnel maintain a safe and healthy work environment through continuing application of standard health and safety procedures, which comply with applicable provisions of OSHA and MSHA regulations as well as applicable state laws. All PRC field personnel (as well as our subcontractors and teaming partners) who perform hazardous waste and hazardous waste and emergency response operations train for a minimum of 40 hours as specified by OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) standards. At least one supervisor for each site receives at least an additional eight hours of specialized training in hazardous waste supervision. All employees participate in regularly scheduled safety meetings and advanced certification training as applicable.


Established protocols for protection and control are followed and enforced at each job site. These include the following: PRC Health and Safety Manual; OSHA, MSHA and state equivalent regulations and guidelines; National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) guidelines; American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) guidelines; Risk Assessment Guidelines from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Department of Transportation, U.S. Department of Labor, and similar, state agency guidelines.
