Navy denim bell-bottoms and chambray shirts and subsequent uniform items. Seagoing Uniform has been a long term manufacturer of regulation utility uniforms used by the United States Navy from 1946 until 2010. Polkton Mfg. Co., Inc. dba Seagoing Uniform was an integral part of uniform supply to Navy Exchange Services Command (NEXCOM) from 1986 untli 1998 by suppling mens and womens denim bell-bottom dungarees and chambray work shirts. In 1998 Seagoing was awarded the contract by the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia to supply the updated enlisted sailor utility uniform program consisting of the poly/cotton twill trouser and upgraded chambray shirt. Seagoing supplied the updated Navy Working Uniform through 2010. Seagoing was reconized by DSCP as The Inovative Hubzone Small Business Manufacturer of the year in 2009. Seagoing's approach to supply was inovative in comparison to other government suppliers due to it's extensive vendor service approach for vendor stock and count services for all exchange locations assuring 100% in stock positions on all uniform styles and sizes. From 1968 until 1986 Seagoing Uniform was owned by the SGT Corporation of Brookln, NY and from 1896 until 1968 Seagoing Uniform was operated by its originator Anthony Anzalone.
