Tom Parker started Parker Jewelers in 1972 in the basement of his home. He serviced the Carlisle areas clock watch and jewelry repair needs. In 1979 his business had grown so much that he needed a showroom and more help. So he converted his garage into a showroom and his wife Connie resigned from her position as a nurse and came to work full time at Parker Jewelers. With one case of jewelry they started their journey and with their commitment to honesty and integrity they grew the business from one showcase into a successful business. In 2005 Connie was diagnosed with cancer. The following year she lost her battle and the future of Parker Jewelers was uncertain. In 2006 Toms daughter Mary Anne, left her job at Moorland Elementary to join Tom and keep the business going. In 2007 Toms grandson took an interest in the store. He graduated from Big Spring High School in 2009 and went to College to be a jeweler and watchmaker. In the spring of 2011 Josh finished his schooling and returned to Parker Jewelers with his fianc Katrina, who he met in Jewelry school. In September of 2011 Parker Jewelers had officially out grown the basement of Toms house and moved up the street to the corner. Today with our new state of the art facility Parker Jewelers has more capabilities than ever. Now with three full time jewelers and two full time watchmakers we can assist you with all of your jewelry and watch needs.
