I have been practicing Aikido for 43 yrs and training dogs in the Aikido handling, I started training dogs in the Aikido style 30yrs ago. I combined the martial arts and dog training so one can have two ways of protection. With your dog trained, your house or children will be safe inside and out. I got involved in Aikido when I was assaulted by five assailants outside of my work place. I was studying another discipline, I didn?t trust it in the situation I was in at the time, but a friend of my told me about a new type of martial arts that would give me the confidence in any situation and it was Aikido.

I studied for 30 years then I opened my own studio teaching the public part-time. Then I branched out and started teaching security guards and training them gave me the idea to train guard dogs in the Aikido style because my place was getting robbed regularly.
