Since being purchased in 2001 by Mr. Alcides Acosta, New Limeco, LLC, has been steadily growing into one of the largest full line tropical fruit and vegetable growers and shippers in Florida. Our "Key to Quality" is to have the best tropical produce at all times, and to offer outstanding service to our customers through loyalty, honesty, and communication. We share a commitment with our growers and suppliers to uphold our customers as the number one most important part of our business. By maintaining the highest standards of integrity, we "Bring the Tropics to your Table".
Our product line focuses the finest quality Avocados, Limes, Mangoes, Papayas, and Latin roots and vegetables available. We grow nearly one thousand acres of our own Green - Skin Avocados here in South Florida and we cool and pack them here in our very own state of the art packing facility. We continue our Avocado program from the Dominican Republic during the winter months in order that we may provide Avocados for almost ten months of the year. Our Limes and Mangoes are available year round, imported from several countries throughout Central and South America. Our papaya category continues to grow into one of the highest quality programs available today. So that we may offer a full line of tropical and Latin items, we carry dozens of tropical roots and squashes. In addition to our main items, we market locally grown tropical fruit like Starfruit, Lychee, Mamey, Guava, and Passion Fruit - just to name a few. If it's grown here in tropical South Florida, we can get it for you.
Our company is managed by team of very talented and committed individuals who all share in the vision of New Limeco, LLC. Our sales staff has combined over 150 years of experience in the Produce Industry. In January of 2009 Eddie Caram became our General Manager. Mr. Caram has been with our company since its beginning as the Director of Sales and Purchasing and he has helped to create our vision. Mr. Caram's experience in the produce business began when he was a youngster, growing up in his fathers family produce business in the Miami Fresh Produce Market. When his father retired from produce, he became an Account Manager for Brooks Tropicals in Miami where he was quickly promoted to Director of Purchasing and finally Director of Sales and Marketing. A true asset to New Limeco, LLC., Mr. Caram's experience and extensive relationships have been an important part of our growth.
We sincerely thank you, our customers, who have helped our company grow. We look forward to many more years of serving your needs. If you have just been introduced to New Limeco, please give us a call anytime to find out how we can help you. We look forward to meeting you.
