Who am I? I am Ken Mulvihill. I have over 30 years experience in Supply Chain Management working with manufacturing, construction and government agencies throughout the Rocky Mountain West. With extensive involvement in sales, management, and operations I start with understanding your problem at the business level. Then, I can translate the business problem into getting the right dataset to analyze. Communication is important. You won't be inundated with techno garble. I am able to communicate effectively with non-experts in the field. Keep your user involved Over time I saw a recurring problem: Computer systems were not written with the end user in mind. The majority of business systems seem to be designed with management reporting as the end product. Although important, it is the person at their desk for eight hours every day that makes the reports possible. Why make the user's job so hard? Because the end user was either not part of the design process at all or was consulted only to fine-tune the interface.
