viewing, and recording for US Department of Defense shoreline security
sites and other Port Authority or homeland security identified locations
where Waterside Surveillance is needed. The system is based on a design
developed for the Washington Navy Yard consisting primarily of
Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) components. The system consists of
commercial Radar units; Thermal Image and CCTV cameras; PC
computers and monitors; a commercial VTMS software package produced
by Transas Marine; and custom software and proprietary interface
products. NavSim Services has been involved in the installation of four
complete Waterside Surveillance and Security Systems. These systems
vary in configuration as each is based on specific customer requirements.
