Company Summary

Legacy Resources Co., L.P. was formed in March 1993 solely as an oil and gas exploration and production company with the acquisition of Exxon's Sunniland Oil Fields in South Florida. A business development office in New Orleans, Louisiana was opened and two former Exxon employees were hired to oversee business development and field operations. Shortly thereafter, Legacy acquired interest in a producing gas field in Pearl River County, Mississippi, and additional producing oil fields were acquired in North Louisiana. In early 1994, Legacy decided to expand its operations to include oil and gas exploitation, which led to a development drilling program. An abandoned wellbore was purchased from Exxon, and the well was successfully re-entered and completed as a producing gas well. This operation became the first exploitation success for the company. Other prospects and properties were evaluated on a continuing basis, and a true property acquisition and drilling program began. Today Legacy operates oil and gas fields in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the Gulf of Mexico. Legacy currently has three offices--a business development office in Mandeville, Louisiana, an operations office in Lafayette, Louisiana, and a corporate office in Indianapolis, Indiana.
