Edema can present in any patient type (young/old, ortho/neuro) and in any patient care setting acute - subacute - outpatient - sports). Although it is a very common occurrence, edema is not always well understood or treated effectively.

This intensive two day course is designed to teach clinicians to differentiate between various edema etiologies and design effective treatment programs based on those findings. Many topics will be covered, including anatomy and physiology of the arterial, venous, and lymphatic systems as well as methods for evaluating each of these systems.

Numerous treatment techniques will be covered, such as compression bandaging as well as a hands-on introduction to manual lymphatic drainage.
