The first step in helping underrepresented individuals is building awareness that communicates, without condescension, the emotional stories of these lives.

Jake’s visual storytelling services include HD video production and still photography. He sees his video work through from concept to completion with storyboarding, scripting, filming, and editing. His photographs offer an intimate and compassionate glimpse into the lives of the underprivileged and disenfranchised from around the globe.

Since receiving a BFA in Still Photography from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2003, Jake has filmed and photographed in nearly forty different countries for non-profit groups and editorial publications concerned with relief, development, aid, and human rights. In 2012 he obtained Apple Pro certification in Final Cut X video editing.

Jake has lived in East Africa since 2008, where he has acquired extensive knowledge in poverty and development issues. He is currently based out of Kampala, Uganda and has full press credentials in both Uganda and Kenya.
