Intex Electric, located in Forney, TX, was founded in 1983 by Keith Bell. Intex is an electrical contractor that has excelled in each of its departments: construction, service/special projects, and residential, and continues to do so with quality work, timely service, and efficient scheduling.

Since its inception the company has strived to be the best in the industry and has seen many milestones including the 25th year anniversary and the employment of over 150 individuals. The local community is an important part of Intex's focus which is exhibited by over a decade of service in the Chamber of Commerce and sponsorship of many of the local schools, activities, and events each year.

Intex was not only recognized as the 2008 Business of the Year in Forney, TX, but also by the Better Business Bureau as a company that has never had a complaint filed.

THE ELECTRICAL SERVICE DIVISION

The electrical service division at Intex was established in 1995 because Intex recognized the market wanted highly responsive service work completed by properly trained technicians. Intex met that need and has continued to excel and grow in that sector for 15 years.

The service division offers a full range of services for the residential and commercial markets, including bucket truck services (exterior lighting), infrared scanning services (including reports and repairs), lighting retrofits, and much more. The service department is radio dispatched and is available 24/7/365.

The service division also has a special projects department that handles construction projects up to $250,000.

Intex is a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and a certified Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) which makes us a preferred vendor for universities, municipalities and other state and federally funded projects.

THE RESIDENTIAL DIVISION

The residential division at Intex was established in 2000. The residential division focuses on high-end custom homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, and also works on townhomes and high rise facilities.

Oncor certification allows the residential division to install solar retrofits for all types of uses including windmill applications for commercial and residential use.

Intex is also certified through Lutron in lighting controls and dimming systems. Both of these systems increase output and cost efficiencies in lighting and therefore customer cost savings are provided.

All of the employees at Intex are drug screened, have ID badges, wear uniforms, pass a background check, and arrive in a company truck. The residential division is supervised by a master electrician.
