Welcome to the charming and historic town of Woodstock, Virginia! This adorable little town, with a population of about 3,500 is nestled in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, between the Allegheny and Blue Ridge Mountains. The town was established by charter in 1761 by none other than George Washington in Virginia*s House of Burgesses and has been the county seat since Shenandoah County was formed in 1772. The limestone courthouse in the center of town was built in 1795 and was designed by Thomas Jefferson.
