RESH was founded in 2004 by Kathleen LeBlanc, former USAID Financial Controller. With the aid of her deputy, Kamau Lizwelicha, in Uganda at the time, they both set out to give back in a meaningful way to thousands of people they had worked with overseas.
They discovered that local NGOs were the key to the country's development. However, many NGOs were not receiving the critical training & knowledge to succeed. In addition, another important factor was being lost - cultural differences. Many development projects and training sessions for NGOs did not account for inter-cultural differences between the West and the rest of the world. After five years of research and thousands of interviews, it was clear that FRESH, LLC had to consider inter-cultural sensitization/awareness as a critical component of its training program.
FRESH brings a wealth of experience and understanding of the complexities of the US Federal Government, local Governments, and other donor systems and requirements. We have a team of consultants that consists largely of former USAID financial analysts and managers of varying nationalities. Additionally, both our management style and team approach are culturally sensitive.
FRESH offers a variety of services to NGOs, Entrepreneurs, and Donors, such as ATM (Assesment, Training and Monitoring), NGOFAC (Non-Governmental Organization Financial & Administrative Capacity), STT (Success Through Tradition), and Outsourcing.
