Royal Truck Body: A Brief History

Royal Truck Body is the largest service body company in the Western United States with 200,000 square feet of manufacturing space at the principal facility in Paramount, California. Royal also has in excess of 100,000 square feet of combined manufacturing space located at branch locations.

CEO Dudley De Zonia started Royal Truck Body in 1971. Since then Royal Truck Body has experienced a continued pattern of growth. In 1995 Royal became a bailment pool company for Chevrolet. In 1997 Royal became a converter pool company for both Ford and GMC.
In 2000 Royal added Dodge.

In 1999/2000 Royal purchased River City Truck Equipment in Northern California - now called Royal River City. Additional Royal branches are located in Phoenix, Arizona and Haslet, Texas.

Royal Truck Body was founded on the principle of "commitment to quality in providing for our customer's service needs". Today, 36 years later, the "ROYAL" trademark of quality has emerged as the recognized leader in the Western United States.
