About us & the Janitorial IndustryCleaning companies can be divided into the honest and the dishonest. Human nature, competitive pressure and lack of oversight (we do operate in the dark) often favor the dishonest. Why do the dishonest win? Because you hire them. I often hear from prospects "I can't find a decent janitor" and they then repeat the same failed process of taking "competitive" bids and hiring a contractor at a price 25% to 50% below ours. Low bidders can appear as extremely attractive bargains (and should, they budget more in Marketing than in Operations) but, don't be deceived, low bidders are not charities, they are extremely lucrative. Often they reap a greater profit from an account in the first month than we would in a year (we'll explain how later). So, how should you choose a service? How would you choose a manager? By taking bids? Hiring a cleaning service is exactly the same; you are hiring people to manage the cleaning of your facility. Your company's values and goals should be shared by the cleaning service. This is more than just a feel-good philosophy; they will have access to and are in charge of your facilities when you are not there to oversee them.We suggest you talk to several companies and choose the one who can clearly communicate with you and understands what you want. Doing the job you need with the budget you have requires people who understand your goals and can prioritize, organize,
