Our reputation, especially in the Twin Cities tech community, has helped us to attract the best and brightest minds. Our work culture fosters personal growth through a fun environment where egos are checked at the door. We're united in pursuit of team and company success. We put effort into acknowledging and celebrating success, while also offering frequent and direct feedback.
When it comes to our clients, we live and breathe their success. We have redesigned market strategies for a $9 billion financial services firm, enhanced the customer interaction logic for a $35 billion consumer goods giant, and analyzed a dead-end architectural situation for a $600 million medical device maker. In all cases, we built the tools enabling the strategy. It is technology for business' sake.
MentorMate's offices are located in Minneapolis, MN and three Bulgarian cities: Sofia, Plovdiv, and Veliko Tarnovo. Project management, marketing, design, and other client-facing operations are performed in the United States, maximizing the face time we spend with our customers. The majority of development and quality assurance is performed in Bulgaria. Our offshore developers have advanced degrees in mathematics, physics, and software engineering. We are a well-known IT employer in Bulgaria, occupying some of the newest office buildings, participating in numerous technology fairs, and organizing our own mobile and software engineering academy designed to educate new legions of developers, accelerating our talent acquisition process.
Our innovations in the field of mobile have been recognized by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (through an issued patent), the Governor of Minnesota, and the Minnesota Intellectual Property Association. On a national level, we were invited to present on the topic of mobile applications alongside IBM and the U.S. Department of Defense. In our early years, we were selected by the largest mobile computing company at the time, Palm, Inc., to co-present webinars on mobile education to educators nationally. On a local level, our work has been recognized by the Norris Institute (founder of Control Data) and the University of St. Thomas.
