History of DoorTek
DoorTek finds its humble beginnings back in May of 1980 where Xetron Corporation of Devine, TX first developed it’s line of Access Control products. Over the next 3 decades, as the company established it’s line as one with a reputation of reliability, other manufacturers in the Access Control industry discovered the reliability and timely features of the Xetron panels and began to purchase them for use in their own systems. Some of these OEM companies you may recognize – Kidde Automated Systems, Software House, Diebold and Wells Fargo Alarm Services (which later became ADT).

In 1998, Xetron’s product line, known as DoorTek, was a well established brand of its own. At this time, employees of Xetron acquired the product line and built a company around the name DoorTek. There are more than 30,000 DoorTek panels installed throughout the world, DoorTek continues to support all existing installed products as well as providing upgrades and new systems via an extensive dealer network.

Drawing from our extensive experience in the industry, we continue to develop new, cutting edge, innovative products to service the security needs of our customers.
