In, 2004 CEO Dave Atwal joined forces with his brother Nick to create Diamond Transportation Logistics, Inc.; a California Company and family business. Both brothers already had a deep experience in the Trucking business doing everything from driving to dispatch to brokering services throughout the west coast and beyond. Later the brothers were joined by close family friend Gulwinder Singh. The trio has a combined experience in the business of more than 75 years.

Since its beginning, Diamond continued to add capabilities and services. It now maintains a secure warehouse and secure parking yard for cross-docking/consolidation and storage. It has added a fleet of late model Trucks and Reefer trailers of which some are always reserved as backup equipment if something does not go as expected.

In the end though, it is all about getting the job done. The trucking business is fundamentally a dangerous one and in this business, you know who your good suppliers and friends are when things go wrong. The ownership group at Diamond wanted a company to always respond in the right way to service the customer.

The above emergencies aside, the group wanted to develop a company that was inherently reliable and with a much better "best in class" on time delivery.

Finally, the group wanted to always stay in tune with the customer's needs and anticipate trends in advance.

So from the very beginning, the partners had several key objectives:

Always put the customer's needs first; this sometimes means going to extraordinary lengths to make sure the very best outcome is achieved when things go wrong.
Develops systems and programs that allow the company stay on top of every shipment real-time allowing it to be proactive in communicating information to customers and haulers alike 24/7.
Run the company with the ownership on the front line with customers and our haulers. Knowing the real world first hand has helped us to understand and grow the business reliably and to anticipate and make changes before they are needed.
