DanceStation teaches professional dance to young people ages 3-18 years old. More than that, we help create enduring friendships and a sense of pride - as individuals and as members of our dance family. Good ballet training is an excellent foundation for success in most forms of dance, so we emphasize ballet technique throughout the program. Other forms of dance including jazz, tap, modern, pointe, hip-hop, and Broadway are also available. Jazz and tap classes are included up to the intermediate level, at which time, students may elect to take separate tap, jazz, modern, and Broadway classes. Our preschool/kindergarten classes introduce pre-ballet, pre-tap, and creative movement to our youngest students. DanceStation is a Cecchetti school and a member of the Cecchetti Council of America. The Cecchetti method is a series of graded classes designed to train the young dancer for professional work, while not all students are presented for Cecchetti exams, the curriculum approved by the CCA is a general guide for all ballet classes. All instructors at DanceStation are certified by reputable dance education organizations (CCA, RAD, ISTD, etc.), by university degree, or by significant performance and teaching experience.
