Correct Care, LLC has more than 15 years of experience providing correctional mental healthcare services and operating state psychiatric hospitals treating forensic and civil populations, including the current management of six adult residential treatment centers. Correct Care has established itself as the premier provider of mental health and residential treatment services. Correct Care provides an array of services at our facilities, which are guided by the empirically based principles of the recovery model. This model offers choice and offers a broad program, which is tailored to meet the individual needs of the respective patient based on assessments conducted by multi-disciplinary treatment teams. Support of family, friends, or other individuals selected by the patient, are encouraged to participate. Correct Care's goal at the SFETC is to provide professional mental health care to prepare patients who are found incompetent to proceed (ITP's) for trial and in addition, to treat those individuals declared not guilty by reason of insanity, (NGI's) in a manner where the outcome reduces symptoms while diminishing their risk to society through aggressive mental health treatment.
Florida Civil Commitment Center, located in Arcadia, Florida is a secure treatment facility for Sexually Violent Predators, detained or civilly committed under The Involuntary Civil Commitment of Sexually Violent Predators. Correct Care also has a proven track record in providing state-of-the-art treatment programs for sexual offenders including medical, psychological, psychiatric, dental, vocational, recreational, educational and dietary. In addition to these services, Correct Care provides all appropriate personnel with specialized training in the needs of sex offenders and provides group therapy sessions to those who participate voluntarily in such services.
South Florida State Hospital, located in Pembroke Pine, Florida, is a 335 bed state psychiatric hospital facility. The mission is to empower the persons served to acquire and use the skills and supports necessary to achieve maximum independence, success and satisfaction in the environment of their choice. The population consists primarily of severely and persistently mentally ill adults who are involuntarily committed to the hospital when community treatment alternatives are no longer effective. The hospital provides a secure setting with longer-term treatment by psychiatrist-led teams of clinicians. Students from various professional disciplines, such as medicine, psychology and pharmacy also participate as part of their training regimen.
Montgomery County Mental Health Treatment Facility (MCMHTF) located in Conroe, Texas, is a forensic facility with 100 beds, designed to treat patients who are determined by the court system to be incompetent to proceed with their trial. MCMHTF is committed to restore these individuals to competency as quickly as possible so they may return to the court. The partnership between the State, Montgomery County, and Correct Care, Inc. has resulted in a comprehensive plan for the operation and management of MCMHTF. In conjunction with Montgomery County Officials and the Texas Department of State Health Services, Correct Care has created a secure and therapeutic environment which fosters recovery, community and criminal justice partnerships, and continuity of care. Correct Care's experience in the operation and management of forensic hospitals is extensive, reducing patient seclusion and restraint, and creating working relationships with local advocacy organizations. As a licensed psychiatric facility, our high quality operations meet or exceed local, state, and federal contractual requirements as well as the accreditation standards of The Joint Commission.
South Florida Evaluation Treatment Center (SFETC) located in Florida City, Florida, is a maximum security mental health treatment facility which strikes a balance between clinical, security, and direct care staff to create a therapeutic milieu which will support competency restoration and psychiatric stabilization. The mission of the facility is to provide quality and timely risk assessment and treatment focused on issues pertinent to patients' criminal status. The new facility is designed to fully integrate treatment and security in an environment that assures the safety of patients, staff and the general public. The facility offers comprehensive assessment and treatment with the goal of identifying and reducing potential risk upon release to the community and thereby reducing lengths of stay.
Treasure Coast Forensic Treatment Center, located in Indiantown, Florida is a forensic treatment facility providing for the safety, security, treatment and rehabilitation of patients, as well as ensuring the safety of the general public. Correct Care provides safe working conditions for employees and volunteers, and comfortable living conditions for the patient population. Correct Care offers security coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. The staff is responsible for direct and indirect supervision of the residents in their daily activities. Continuous staff and resident interaction facilitates a good relationship for a safe, treatment conducive environment
Columbia Regional Care Center, located in Columbia, South Carolina, provides inpatient forensic and mental health treatment and evaluation services to include comprehensive assessments, evaluation and treatment of psychiatric disorders for individuals involved with the criminal court system for a wide range of mental illnesses and conditions. Mental Competency Studies and observation cases are provided by a licensed forensic psychiatrist for both federal and state courts. Detainees have a highly structured milieu and are encouraged to be fully involved in their treatment including treatment team meetings, group activities, education classes, life skills, and spiritual services. The Mental Health Department conducts supportive therapy groups each week. Education classes include GED preparation, computer technology, English as a second language, basic reading and math skills.
