Companions Forever was established in Tulsa, OK in 1996 by Gary Dunbar. Gary was raised in Muskogee, OK and moved to Houston to work for a big corporation. His beloved cat, Sammy, went to the rainbow bridge while Gary was in Houston on July 12, 1996. Gary looked at all of the available alternatives for Sammy and decided to have him cremated.
During this period, Gary also made a career change when his corporation was taken over. He was tired of traveling and big corporate life. He decided that he wanted to give something back to society. When Sammy was cremated and his ashes returned to Gary, it meant so much, Gary decided to start Companions Forever in Tulsa. The market was open in Tulsa as this location did not have a first rate pet crematorium. Gary asked his daughter, Wendy Barnett who also lived in Tulsa, if she would be willing to help start the business. Of course, Wendy said yes.
Because of Sammy, the cat, Companions Forever was established as a first class pet crematory service. They give the bereaved pet owner what they are looking for and will spend time with the pet owner to comply with their wishes. They are more than willing to sit down with each individual that comes in or calls and listen with a compassionate ear. Wendy and Gary are both pet owners and know how much a pet can mean to an individual.
Their business keeps growing with each year. Repeat business and references have helped establish Companions Forever. They will be more than willing to provide a tour of their facility and explain the process of how your pet will be cremated. They are very proud of their business. They will even allow you to watch your pet's cremation for no fee.
Even though you have gone to the rainbow bridge, Sammy, Tulsa wants to thank you, Gary and Wendy, for establishing a class business.
