Company Summary

A joint venture between Coastal Villages Pollock and Siu Alaska Corporation, BSAI Partners LLC owns seven trawl vessels, one crab boat and 2.9 percent of the allowable catch of pollock in the Bering Sea. Siu and Coastal Villages Pollock are subsidiaries of CDQ parent companies Norton Sound Economic Development Corp. and Coastal Villages Region Fund, respectively.

BSAI Partners was formed in February 2011 when the two CDQ entities purchased the assets from longstanding Bering Sea fisheries business Wards Cove. The purchase also included the formation of Alaska Boat Co. which manages the operation of the eight vessels.

Siu is proud of this partnership that further increases the Alaskan investment in the Bering Sea/Aleutian Islands fisheries. Under the ownership of CDQ entities, this investment benefits western Alaska by supporting the parent companies' work to improve and sustain the fisheries and economies of their member communities.
