Glen Ford (center) comes to BioAssay Works with 30 years of experience in the laboratory, and with more than 15 years of experience in development and production of lateral-flow assay systems. During that time he developed lateral-flow assays for the antibodies induced by numerous viral and bacterial agents in blood, serum, saliva, and urine. He recently developed lateral-flow tests for HIV (AIDS) that are capable of detecting HIV antibody in urine where it is present in concentrations over 1000-fold less than in serum.
