Barrett Appliance opened for business in 1992 in a remodeled strip center store in Shreveport, Louisiana. Starting with only 6 employees, the company experienced fast sales growth as an appliance supplier for over 200 builders in 1993. Owner Wayne Barrett had a vision of expanding sales areas in North Louisiana and East Texas and adding outside sales consultants. By 1996, Barrett had added lighting, cabinets, and countertop products in the remodeled original showroom. During this time, the company had an expanded customer list of over 400 builders and remodelers. Barrett Appliance became the top supplier for appliances and lighting products in several cities during the 1997-1999 timeframe. Plans for a larger, new concept store began during this period of outstanding growth.

Barrett Appliance and Home Products, the one-stop showroom and design center, opened its new Bossier City store in year 2000. This 40,000 sq ft store provided ample space for showcase kitchen displays, larger lighting and countertop display areas, and an expanded warehouse. A second store to showcase appliances, countertops, and lighting was opened during 2004 in Tyler, Texas to better serve our East Texas customers.

Barrett's Stone Gallery, the largest fabrication facility and largest indoor slab showroom in the state was opened in Shreveport in 2011. Barrett's offers turnkey fabrication and installation of granite, quartz, and marble countertops. Professional sales consultants and designers are ready to help you in 3 stores which are located in Bossier City, Shreveport, and Tyler.

Barrett is the supplier for over 100 brand-name products including appliances, refrigerators, washing machines, kitchen cabinets, countertops - including granite countertops & quartz countertops, TV home theatre, lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, and home decor products in both Bossier City, LA and in Tyler, TX.
