Before launching her first collection, Lois spent many years developing her own signature techniques - unique combinations of granulation and filigree, hand carving and hand weaving of sterling silver. Each piece created is the product of many years of exploration and experimentation, resulting in adornment that links the past to the present and speak to her sense of adventure. “A lovingly crafted piece of jewelry can offer a window into far away cultures and diverse expression of beauty and creativity.”

Lois began with a small team of seven artisans and is now responsible for training hundreds of artisans worldwide. Her company is comprised of her New York Showroom and Asian Offices. Lois spends her time traveling between the two parts of the world and any free time is spent either traveling the globe searching for new inspiration or studying yoga and Eastern philosophies, her other passionate interests.

Philanthropic Efforts

Actively seeking adventure, creativity and ways to make a difference is not new for Lois. As early as 1998, she successfully climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in a fund-raising venture with CARE International. As well as generating funds for projects she visited in Kenya and Tanzania, and serving as a great personal adventure and challenge, Lois developed a Masai-inspired collection. The same lifelong drive for adventure and personal challenge that has led Lois to climb mountains for charity also fuels her work. Lois is currently developing specialized jewelry collections to benefit BreastCancer.org, CARE and other organizations she feels strongly about. As of 2009, Lois is contributing at least 8% of net proceeds to causes she most believes in.
