AM Communications has been in the telecommunications industry for over 10 years; primarily providing residential and commercial fulfillment services in the mid-west region. Technician Training
Prior to entering the field, technicians are required to complete a comprehensive five week training program that includes instructor-led classroom training in addition to on-the-job training with a certified field trainer. Some key areas covered in our comprehensive training program include:
Industry Standards
All course materials in accordance with NCTI, SCTE, OSHA, client and AM Communications standards.
Technical Training
Each of our locations includes market related technical training aides which are used to assist with teaching basic and advanced cable installation and troubleshooting.
Customer Service
Our employees go through a thorough customer service training module to include best practices in customer education, understanding client products and services, and soft skills.
Safety
Above all, it is important to AM Communications that all of our employees understand how to properly use all of the equipment and tools required in the telecommunications field. Each employee must pass both a practical and web-based test for vehicle usage, proper ladder handling, PPE, and other general safety practices.span>
All client and company required testing is completed using our internal web based testing system. This system allows test results to be reviewed by our corporate training group and local management prior to an individual being certified and released to the field.&
Company Owned Fleet and Assets
AM Communications has a company owned fleet of new and late model white trucks up-fitted with caps, ladder racks, and beacon systems. Our ongoing relationship with a fleet leasing and procurement company allows us the flexibility to add vehicles in a timely manner to meet our growth requirements. Each vehicle is equipped with company owned and maintained ladders, PPE, meters, cones and other specialty tools.
