Adaptive Behavioral Services, Inc. provides culturally competent and community based behavioral, mental health and substance abuse services specifically targeting African American and Hispanic children, adolescents and adults. Our group of credentialed and licensed psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed social workers, licensed professional counselors, substance abuse counselors, case managers and educators reflect the ethnicity and/or have experience in dealing with the clients we serve.

ABS serves African-American children, adolescents, and adults in the Greater Pittsburgh Area who suffer with chronic or acute mental disorders. Clients receive active treatment to increase their level of functioning and well being in order to reduce their need more intensive services and hospitalization. Although, ABS specializes in the treating African-Americans with mental illness, we also provide services to any and all other ethnic groups.

Our mental health professionals work with individual, families and groups referred from the judicial system, public, and private schools, Department of Human Services, Department of Youth Services, Department of Welfare, and Health Choices programs.
